Patient Care Technician

Patient Care Technician - Med/Surg 5 East - 7a-7p (0.9) FT

Assist patients with activities of daily living, assist the nursing staff with job duties as permitted, and maintain a safe and clean environment under the directions and supervision of a registered nurse and/or licensed practical nurse.

Prior nursing assistant experience is preferred.  Ability to follow orders and perform within the functional limitations of the job.  Communication skills, listening abilities, ability to deal with stress, ability to react to emergency and crisis situations, and commitment to the quality of care.  Communication, Manual Dexterity.  Ability to make sound judgments. 

Nursing Assistant course required after hire (if not previously completed)

BLS is required and must be completed by end of the orientation period.
