 A 128-bed general, medical/surgical acute care facility serving Citrus, Levy and South Marion Counties, Bravera Health Seven Rivers opened its doors in 1978. Responsible for performing general secretarial and clerical duties in patient care areas. Interacts with patients, families and physicians on a daily basis. Responsible for the transcription of physician orders. Assists the nursing staff in coordinating the activity of the unit. Oversees the orderliness of the nurses’ desk areas and orders forms and other clerical supplies. May be needed to work beyond the regular tour of duty or in another patient care unit as assigned by department head or nursing supervisor.


Qualifications:

Minimum Education:  Formal education equivalent of a high school diploma or GED. 
Preferred Education:  Completion of an approved program for unit secretaries or equivalent coursework.
Preferred Experience:  Sufficient experience in a position requiring typing,/ computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
Required Certification: Current BLS Certification prior to hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language
