Registered Radiology Tech II

Administers ionizing radiation to patients producing diagnostic radiographs; operates x-ray equipment, develops films, prepares patient exam room, equipment and supplies; performs technical and ancillary tasks necessary to provide patient services per departmental and hospital policy; performs routine or specialized diagnostic procedures for patients in order to confirm required treatment. Is cross-trained in a second technical modality within Imaging Services and performs those job duties at least 20% of the time.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience):

• Minimum Education:  Graduation from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum Experience:  One year experience as a Radiologic Technologist in Imaging.
• Required Licensure/Registration:  Current Florida Rad Tech license; BLS certification.
• Preferred Licensure/Registration:  ARRT (Radiology) registration.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language.  Ability to perform effectively in fast paced, stressful environment.
