Job Summary: Is responsible for providing quality radiological procedure, treatments, and diagnostic evaluations on patients in all age groups from neonate through geriatric, under the direction of the radiologists. Is expected to abide by established hospital and department policies and procedures with minimal supervision.   Collaborates with other professionals in and out of the Hospital to ensure effective, efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes.

Qualifications: 

• Must have the required education needed to be Registered Radiologic Technologist
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and must maintain current certification
• Current BLS from the AHA or ARC

About the job:

• Arranges patients for radiological examinations. 
• Produces radiographs (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. 
• Prevents patients from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. 
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. 
• Works under immediate supervision. 
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. 
• Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. 
• Requires an associate's degree from an accredited program and registration as a technologist by the A.R.R.T. 
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field and 0-2 years of experience.
