Analyzes patient medical records and ensures timely completion of the medical record in accordance with Regulatory Agencies. Reconciles, preps, scan, and index medical records according to Department Policies and Procedures. Monitors the transcription work queue. Contact/follow up with physicians to ensure deficiencies are completed in a timely manner and missing documentation is obtained for completion of the legal health record. Completes Vital Statistics for the department. Performs other job duties as assigned. High School graduate or GED equivalent required. Associate Degree (Preferred) One to two years of HIM experience preferred. Basic computer knowledge and good communication skills a must. Previous experience in deficiency analysis within an electronic medical record required. RHIT certification preferred.
