Clinical Informaticist - Information Services - Full Time

Works collaboratively with the Information Services Department to provide support of the clinical information systems in the hospital or ambulatory realm. Participates in problem solving issues related to Clinical Information Systems (CIS), communication, documentation, and in the implementation and maintenance of the Clinical Information System. Participates in the design and implementation of the Clinical Information System as it pertains to clinical practice. Participates in in-service and computer training of current and incoming clinical staff.

Education: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in related healthcare field or equivalent experience in Information Technology/Informatics preferred.

Certifications/Experience: 

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a clinical setting with at least 3 years’ experience in a relevant clinical role preferred.
• Licensed or Certified Healthcare professional preferred, but not required.
• Demonstrates extensive knowledge of clinical workflow and regulatory requirements.
• Has a successful record of adding value to organizations through the proactive analysis and resolution of potential barriers that may negatively affect the organization.
• Demonstrates a record of significantly improving patient experience.
• Possesses superior communication skills, demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment, and be able to effectively direct front and back-end work processes and personnel toward a common goal.
