$6,000 Sign on Bonus

The Certified Medical Assistant Float fills in for shifts as needed throughout the Northwest Medical Group. This includes covering vacation time, FMLA or sick days. The Certified Medical Assistant Float is responsible for assessing and reassessing patients, maintaining accurate patient records including filing of reports in designated areas, scheduling of appropriate tests when indicated, responding to patient phone calls, speaking with pharmacies when indicated under the supervision of the provider.


  • Graduate of a high school or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program preferred.


  • Experience in related health care field preferred
  • Experience in a relevant physician office role preferred.

Licensure & Certification:

  • Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA or an equivalent required within 3 months of hire.
  • CPR Certification required within 3 months of hire.

General Responsibilities:

  • Collects patient health information which is communicated by written and verbally to appropriate health professionals in order to identify actual and potential problems.
  • Demonstrates an ability of safe medication and treatment administration. Correctly identify patients accepting responsibility for individual actions including activities that may be considered fraudulent, illegal or inappropriate.
