 Status: Full Time

Shift: 8:00 AM -4:30 PM

Job Summary: Is responsible for the verification of insurance coverage and benefits and obtaining pre-certification when required on patient accounts; is also responsible for performing all duties of a registrar as needed.

 

Qualifications: 

Education: High school graduate or equivalent as well as formalized computer training and college course work is preferred. 

Experience: At least twelve (12) months prior experience obtaining pre-certifications in a physician office or hospital setting is required or at least twenty-four (24) months registration/insurance experience is required. Hospital or physician office coding experience is preferred. Must be able to manage high volumes of work within strict deadlines and perform duties without prompting and with very little supervision.
