The ideal candidate will have a track record of building teams that span both business and technical competencies, gathering business requirements and creating business intelligence and analytics solutions that have measurable customer impact, and demonstrating exemplary written and verbal communication skills. The candidate will have to set the right vision, strategy and roadmap and work alongside stakeholders in the organization to make it happen. The candidate understands business intelligence tools, can model multidimensional datasets, and can partner effectively with business leaders to answer key business questions.

Responsible for developing business intelligence solutions using various statistical methods. Perform assessments and risk analysis to identify problems with current company processes, increase efficiency and profitability, gather and analyze data, create reports that outline findings, and present those findings to upper management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the strategy for the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions. Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve the operational and quality metrics according to business needs.
  • Develops reports for consumption by primary business partner or use by primary business partner for communicating information to others. Transfers data to other external stakeholders as required.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for primary business partner through evaluation of data. Develops rules for assisting in the proactive identification of opportunities for primary business partner.
  • Collaboratively develops, implements and maintains best practice within all CHS pharmacy information systems. Standardizes data and report consumption across all groups. Prepares architecture for data, strategies, and provides business object solutions as per business requirements. Manages and customize all extraction, transformation, and loading processes as per customer requirement. Ensures compliance of ETL processes within existing standard.
  • Supervises efficient working of all business intelligence projects and analyzes requirements and performs appropriate validation. Appropriately prioritizes project portfolio according to business requirements.
  • Serves as primary liaison between business partner and external owners of data. Proactively identifies repositories of pertinent data. Develops business cases for obtaining access to new data as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Education: Masters degree in business, computer science, data science, business intelligence or bachelors or doctorate in pharmacy (PharmD)
Preferred Education: Bachelors or doctorate in pharmacy (PharmD) PLUS masters degree in business, computer science, data science, business intelligence, or similar

Required Experience: At least 8 years in pharmacy or information technology in a hospital setting.
Preferred Experience: Experience with ETL development, data transformations, and data warehousing or creating and building predictive/optimization tools that benefit the business and improve end user experience

Computer Skills Required: Microsoft Excel, HL7
