Summary:
The Senior Network Administrator position requires an understanding of configuring, monitoring, operating, and troubleshooting routed and switched networks. The Senior Network Administrator will possess a strong knowledge of networking concepts, terminology, and processes. Functional areas include, but are not limited to, WAN, LAN, NAT, ACLs, VLANs, IPV4, IPV6, WLAN administration, static routing, ACI, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP. The Senior Network Administrator position requires proficiency in troubleshooting and configuration changes as well as documentation of networking processes.

The ability to work outside normal hours, when needed, is expected, and an on-call schedule is required in this position.
Platforms may include, but are not limited to, Cisco ACS, Cisco IOS, Cisco Nexus, Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco WLC, Cisco Access Points


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in development and support of Enterprise wired and wireless networks Provide technical leadership to associate level engineers
  2. Interaction with business partners and customers regarding network support
  3. Ability to operate independently, without supervision, to troubleshoot and remediate technical problems.
  4. Perform network audits and assessments.
  5. Use diagnostic tools to diagnose and optimize the network as necessary.
  6. Documentation of systems, procedures, and processes
  7. Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
  8. Technical proficiencies: Cisco switches, Cisco routers, Cisco or Palo Alto firewalls, WAN Technology (MPLS, VPLS, VPN, SDN), VLAN, Cisco Wireless, Routing (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP)
  9. Automation experience with Python, Ansible or the like is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required Education: Minimum High School Diploma with Certifications and Experience
Preferred Education: College Degree with Certifications and Experience

Required Experience: 3 years of Administration experience with IT networks
Preferred Experience: 5 years of Information Technology in Healthcare

Computer Skills Required: Some workstation and server support experience. Substantial network administration experience.
