Job Summary:
- Under the immediate direction of the unit Director/Nurse Manager/Lead Charge or other designated clinical management as assigned, provides for the delivery of safe, effective patient care and develops expertise in the care of a specific patient population/nursing diagnosis.
- Registered Nurses may be trained to fulfill Charge Nurse responsibilities when assigned. The Charge Nurse Orientation and Competency will be completed prior to assuming charge duties.
- Working as a specialized Med/Surg/Tele RN (with min. 2-3 yrs. exp.) in our FLEX/Float department, you will be assigned a Med/Surg/Tele department based on needs for the day, determined by Nursing Administration. Our Med/Surg/Tele RN in the FLEX/Float department offers the highest level of care, and uses ‘best practice’ from each Med/Surg/Tele department every day! Our Med/Surg/Tele RN is a positive role model, and raises the bar for giving exceptional patient care in every department assigned.
MINIMAL ACCEPTABLE JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Registration/Certification/Licensure:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
- CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) within 7 days of hire
Experience:
Education:
- Completion of a nursing program diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
Available Shifts:
- FLEX Positions may be benefited or are considered occasional.
- Benefited FLEX employees will receive an additional FLEX Premium in addition to their current pay program, while PRN Flex employees will receive a competitive Flat rate.
- FLEX positions would be for regular scheduled shifts - 7A-3P, 3P-11P, 11P-7A, 7A-7P, 7P-7A
- FLEX positions may be for 24 or 36 hours a week (.6 FTE or .9 FTE), or PRN 16 hours per 2 week pay period (.02 FTE)
