The Supervisor of Facilities is responsible for managing, coordinating, and monitoring the maintenance, repairs, and administrative activities of electrical, plumbing, painting, HVAC, and security functions. This position validates the compliance requirements of the facility within the regulatory standards and accredited agencies.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s Degree or Certificate from an accredited trade/school preferred
Certifications/Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a lead/supervisory role preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience preferred
General Responsibilities:
- General knowledge & understanding of plant/facility equipment operations
- Validates that team members within the department have equipment & resources to perform their jobs in order to meet goals & deadlines
- Supervises day-to-day functions within the department
- Delegates assignments for optimal productivity and success of the department and organization
- Participates in Safety Committee Activities and is an active participant in Safety & Security Reporting
- Provides orientation and comprehensive training of new employees.
- Evaluates job performance of employees and handles performance improvement processes. Is accountable for interviewing, selection, and retention of employees.
- Develops and enforces policies and procedures to assure effective and efficient operations in all areas of responsibility in accordance with established business objectives and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Developing, implementing, monitoring quality improvement initiatives to enhance/streamline current procedures/processes
- Assures that records, files, and reports are prepared and maintained in accordance with hospital standards and all regulatory agencies. Is in compliance with state regulations along with The Joint Commission, Audits and corporate guidelines, timely.
