Patient Care Attendant, Surgical Services - PRN , occasional

Responsible for providing support for all employees and patients within the surgical services departments. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Assists with patient transport; may clean, sterilize, store and prepare other supplies. Works under immediate supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a surgical technologist, registered nurse, or supervisor. Requires a high school diploma with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within surgical unit.
