Performs various activities including but not limited to: cleaning, restocking and set up of C-Section rooms making sure rooms are ready at all times. Transport instruments to and from sterile processing daily. Help set up labor rooms for deliveries using sterile technique and help clean up after a delivery. Restock labor and triage rooms. Other responsibilities include cleaning IV and epidural pumps, equipment used in labor rooms, cleaning triage rooms and labor rooms when needed. Assists patients in dressing or undressing, bathing, or eating. Rounds on patients. Aids physicians and nursing staff member with procedures if needed. Communicates with nursing staff on patient needs outside their scope. May do other tasks around the unit as needed.
High school diploma or GED is required. Basic Life Support through either American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. Must be able to read, write and perform simple arithmetic calculations.
