Job Description

PRN, night shift--Examines heartbeat patterns on electrocardiograph monitors. Makes note of irregular rhythms and monitors changes in heartbeat. Ensures that monitors are functioning properly. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

  • High School diploma or equivalent required 
  • Completion of Basic EKG course is required (or within one year of hire into the department). 

  • Completion of a vocational nursing assistant course is preferred

  • Must be able to read and write the equivalent of eighth grade English

  • Prior EKG or cardiac monitoring experience is preferred
