Job Description

Northwest Health - La Porte is seeking a full time Director of Surgical Services.

The Director assumes leadership responsibility for the divisions clinical and administrative departments assigned. The director is responsible for the development of patient care programs, policies, and procedures. The director will participate with administration, management, medical staff, clinical leaders and frontline employees in the decisionmaking structures and processes. The director will implement an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess, and improve the reliability and quality of care delivered to patients. The director is responsible for budgeting and managing supplies, equipment, and personnel in the division. The director will ensure that division staff has sufficient information to comply with corporate compliance program.

Education: 

  • BSN Required
  • Masters Degree preferred or working towards completion within three years

Licensure: 

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana or any other state with evidence of application for Indiana licensure.
  • BLS Required
  • ACLS Required
