Job Summary:
- Under the discretion of a physician, treats and prevents athletic injuries by developing therapies to reduce pain and improve mobility.
- Provides injury prevention programs, emergency care for injuries, rehabilitation education and treatment for assigned athletic organizations.
- Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing.
- Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- Works under the general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Reports to a manager or head of a unit/department
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Minimal Acceptance Job Qualifications
Registrations/Certification/Licensure:
- Certification from Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer
- Indiana Athletic Trainers Board License.
- CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
- Valid Driver's License.
Experience:
- Previous experience as an athletic trainer with high school or professional sports organizations is a plus.
