Job Title: Interventional Radiology Scrub tech

Location: Grandview Medical Center, Birmingham, AL

Schedule: Full Time

Job Summary:

Supports the Cath Lab and Radiology in IR by assisting the surgeon during procedures, passing instruments, medications, and dressings, and providing retraction assistance. Conducts assessments and procedures such as angioplasty, nephrostomy, drain placement, and thrombectomy. Utilizes advanced imaging and interventional technologies. Prepares surgical trays, manages inventory, and ensures sterile set-up. Assists with patient transport, vital signs, room turnover, and cleaning the operating theater. Reports to the charge nurse or nurse manager.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma required. Completion of an accredited Radiography program preferred (acceptable to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, ARRT).
• Previous experience as a Surgical Scrub Tech or in the Cath Lab is preferred.
• Experience in assisting during operative procedures, particularly in the areas of angioplasty, nephrostomy, drain placement, and thrombectomy is highly desired.
• ARRT certification or eligibility: preferred
